After cancelling your Proximity Fibre account, you might have a credit balance when your final bill is generated. If you have another active Proximity Fibre account, you can request to transfer this credit balance there. Alternatively, you can receive a refund.
Can I transfer my credit balance to a friend, relative or someone else with an active Proximity Fibre account?
No. We can only transfer a credit to an active Proximity Fibre account where you are the account holder.
How do I receive a refund after my final bill is generated?
Consumer accounts:
If the credit balance on your final bill is between $10-$499.99 then we'll automatically mail a cheque to the account holder at the billing address we have on file.
If the credit balance on your final bill is less than $10 or $500 and above, contact us to claim it. We will mail a cheque to the account holder at the billing address we have on file.
Business accounts:Contact us to receive your credit balance.
Note: You'll need to cash your cheque within 6 months of the date it is issued. After 6 months the cheque will expire and you will need to contact us to request a new one.
How do I receive my refund if I've moved addresses?
Contact us to share your new address and we'll issue the cheque to your updated address.
